Learning a new language requires constant improvement and the willingness of the individual to work on their skill. Even when your proficiency level is native, you still have to keep using the language on a daily basis in some way, to avoid forgetting phrases, words or other specifications of the language. If you have someone to talk to in any given language you are interested in learn, you shouldn't have such a hard time. The problems begin when you have no one to practice with and you have little to no reasons to keep using the foreign words you've learned.
When learning to pronounce verbally, it's easier to learn how to pronounce a word if you can hear a native speaker say it. Google Translate and other text to voice bots can only do so much, but they can't provide you with that natural flare and the exact sounding of the word. It just seems too artificial. A much better way to learn proper pronunciation would be to hear native speakers say it in their own language. This is the only way to learn something accurately, by listening to native speakers pronounce verbally and trying to memorize their pronunciation and repeating it until you learn the word yourself.
