How to pronounce perplexing in English

Life is nothing but a perplexing paradox, often amazing us to realize that in failure alone are the seeds of sweet success. So, never give up Hope, and think positively.

The only way you may be able to understand the world, is by turning away from her.....and that's a perplexing paradox!

It's a bit perplexing given the overnight action in oil prices.

Mumbai never ceases to amaze me, even after more than three decades since I left that city of dichotomies. The paradoxes are perplexing as much as disturbing, e.g. extreme riches juxtaposed with excruciating poverty; indifferent and hard-hearted people co-existing with amazingly generous and exceptionally kind role models; iconic malls, flyovers, skyscrapers and sea-links right next to disgustingly scattered slums; brilliant scientists and awesome artists living peacefully with blind faith and superstitions in daily lives etc are just a few paradoxes that come to mind. And yes, it’s only a tip of the iceberg. The city of dichotomies often leaves the visitor with a million questions that are so hard to answer.

Schrodinger's Cat is a classic example of Paradox, in my view. In actuality, it was a Gedankenexperiment or a Thought Experiment, created by Austrian Physicist Erwin Schrodinger in 1935. Not many folks are probably aware that Schrodinger himself called that experiment “a ridiculous case.” Here’s the "Schrodinger's Cat" in Schrodinger's own words: “A cat is penned up in a steel chamber, along with the following device (which must be secured against direct interference by the cat): In a Geiger Counter, there is a tiny bit of radioactive substance, so small, that perhaps in the course of the hour one of the atoms decays, but also, with equal probability, perhaps none. If it (i.e. decay) happens, the Geiger Counter discharges and through a relay releases a hammer that shatters a small flask of Hydrogen Cyanide. If one has left this entire system to itself for an hour, one would say that the cat still lives if meanwhile no atom has (undergone) radioactive decay.” So you see, the cat's life or death truly depends on the formation of a subatomic alpha particle that triggers off the avalanche of electrons in the Geiger Counter. There is an equal probability that it may not happen, and hence the cat should remain both alive and dead per Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics. Philosophically speaking, Human Life is full of paradoxes, and we often find that the uncertainties therein bear a startling resemblance with Schrodinger's Cat experiment. The total randomness of events that shape our human lives, and determinedly control the outcome (i.e. future) can be extremely perplexing and equally thought-provoking as Schrodinger's Cat experiment....a pre-written and pre-destined Reductio ad absurdum perhaps!

It's perplexing to understand why the ones who were invited didn't come. I don't understand the strategy. The big winner here is Warren, the only top-tier candidate to show up, and she can bask in on the glory.

Convoluted and perplexing as it may seem, I have invariably found the simple people who never went to school, to be smarter, wiser and more knowledgeable than even the college professors. Education is a matter of having or not having opportunities; while the knowledge, smartness and wisdom must begin from within.

It is really perplexing for a number of reasons, they appear to have all died around the same time. And the strange thing is they are all one species, with the exception of one dead humpback whale found in a different location.
