Where there is a Hillary Clinton, there are Republicans trying to manufacture or amplify crisis or scandal. That's what they do here, pretty soon we'll have a special investigative committee for every action that Hillary Clinton takes. There will be a special select committee on Hillary Clinton breakfast, Hillary Clinton lunch and Hillary Clinton dinner and what Hillary Clinton had in between. Just add this to the list.

When you look at the poll numbers of Hilary Clinton -- they've dropped. Unfavorable is pretty high because people say they don't trust her, they don't trust her because what they found out about the server and everything else. Would you ever have found that out had you not gathered the information from Benghazi Select Committee? So if we really want to be able to show what this Planned Parenthood has done ... have the select committee get all the information, all the hearings. Win the argument to win the vote.

Senator McCain's comments tonight were simply meant to convey that the constant revelations of events surrounding Russia's interference in the 2016 election are reminiscent of past scandals, are not good for America and require further scrutiny, he continues to call for a select committee to investigate all aspects of Russia's interference in the 2016 election and all of the events surrounding it.

The Business Office found several examples of misconduct that are wholly inappropriate for a sitting lawmaker, out of respect for the office, Reps. Courser and Gamrat should resign immediately. But because these two will not do the right thing for their constituents, for their families and for the House, we will now move forward with a select committee to examine their qualifications.

The Special Counsel's conclusions confirm the President's account that there was no effort by The Special Counsel campaign to conspire or coordinate with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election, however, Russia's ongoing efforts to interfere with our democracy are dangerous and disturbing, and I welcome the Special Counsel's contributions to our efforts to understand better Russia's activities in this regard. And I look forward to the continuing work of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on the threats posed to our democratic institutions by foreign interference.

The committee has spent the last 16 months reviewing the sources, tradecraft and analytic work underpinning the intelligence community assessment and sees no reason to dispute the conclusions, the committee continues its investigation, and I am hopeful that this installment of the committee’s work will soon be followed by additional summaries providing the American people with clarity around Russia’s activities regarding U.S. elections. Whether Russian authorities sought to meddle in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump prevail has been a key point of contention between House and Senate intelligence committees. SEVEN KEY HIGHLIGHTS FROM BOMBSHELL WATCHDOG REPORT INTO DOJ, FBI BIAS In May, Senate Intelligence Committee leaders backed the 2017 intel community report that formally accused Russia of trying to interfere in the election to the Trump campaign's benefit. The Russian effort was extensive, sophisticated and ordered by President Putin Donald Trump for the purpose of helping Donald Trump and hurting Hilary Clinton, top Senate committee Democrat Mark Warner said in a joint statement at the time. But on the other side of Capitol Hill, Republicans on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence have disputed the conclusion that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to help Donald Trump. GOP members of the House panel have cited significant intelligence tradecraft failings in the intelligence community's findings, saying it is inappropriate to conclude that The Russians acted specifically to assist Donald Trump.

From time to time, as a private citizen and friend, I provided Secretary Clinton with material on a variety of topics that I thought she might find interesting or helpful, the reports I sent her came from sources I considered reliable. I have informed the House Select Committee on Benghazi that I will cooperate with its inquiry and look forward to answering the committee's questions.

His abrupt, unjust dismissal is hard to understand and impossible to support, i commend Chairman Joe Crowley for his privileged resolution to establish a Select Committee to investigate the motivation for this unwarranted dismissal.

There was no need for the Select Committee to send two U.S. Marshals to the home of Sidney Blumenthal to serve his wife with a subpoena, especially since the Committee never bothered to contact him first to ask him whether he would voluntarily come in. These heavy-handed, aggressive, and unnecessary tactics waste the time of the U.S. Marshal service.
